Review of Week 49: Honour 300 Ultra official, Galaxy S25 EU versions arrive at the FCC
The European Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, with model numbers SM-S931B/DS, SM-S936B/DS, and SM-S938B/DS, were approved by the FCC. The Ultra, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, may support up to 45W, although they have been testing with a 25W charger.
With the Honour 300, 300 Pro, and 300 Ultra, Honour debuted its 300 series. The Honour 300 Ultra, like the Pro, is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 50MP periscope lens (IMX858) with an f/3.0 aperture and 3.8x optical zoom. A 12MP ultrawide and a 50MP main lens (IMX906) with OIS are attached to the periscope module. A 5.300mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging is included, along with a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED. Beginning with the Honour 300 Ultr starts at CNY 4,199 ($577) and is on sale in China.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 1-inch primary camera with an f/1.63 aperture and the same 6.73-inch screen as its predecessor; a variable aperture is not mentioned this year. A 50 MP short-distance zoom telephoto (likely 2x) and a 200 MP periscope telephoto (likely 4.3x) came next. According to rumours, the cell’s capacity will range from 5,450 to 5,800 mAh.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite dominate AnTuTu’s November 2024 top 10 charts. When compared to the Dimensity 9400, Qualcomm’s new flagship SoC is superior in two ways: it powers the top-ranked phone on the chart, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, and it’s in six of the top ten devices.
