December is the confirmed launch date for the OnePlus Ace 5 series.
OnePlus had recently made deny some rumors spreading about the release of its upcoming flagship, OnePlus Ace 5, and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. It’s official: the brand will launch these phones in December. The phones will be launched in China: Ace 5 will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Ace 5 Pro will be packing the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Louis Lee, OnePlus exec, mentioned the gaming benchmark score of the Ace 5 in one of the popular mobile gaming titles, King of Glory. The test involved running the Ace 5 for 1 hour on the popular gaming title by scoring above 120 FPS with a power consumption of 3.57W and thermal output at around 40.3°C.
For the record, OnePlus pitched an equivalent competing smartphone with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip that should be able to run that same frame rate within the same 3.27W power draw and 40-degree thermal output.
Besides sharing new details, tipster Digital Chat Station also posted an official teaser image for the Ace 5. The device is said to come with a flat metal frame, along with an optional back made of ceramic glass.
We can also spot a trio of cameras on the back side and the OnePlus signature alert slider on the left-hand side.
